Sande and Bobby’s Golfing Engagement Session

I have known Sande for a long time.  We go way back. We’re also friends on Facebook so it was extra fun to watch this guy make flirty comments to all of Sande’s postings. Well, this guy has gone from flirty comment maker to fiance and his name is Bobby. Sande and Bobby were friends in college and life’s roads and social media have brought them back in to each other’s lives, soon to be husband and wife! How cool is that?! And of course, I am extra excited to get to shoot their wedding. If it is anything like this engagement session, we’re going to have lots of fun!  We tried real hard to behave ourselves on the golf course however and must have been successful because the Course Marshall didn’t yell at us once!

Kristina and Chris’s Engagement Session

This is Kristina and Chris! They’re getting hitched later this month so I got an opportunity to get to know these two a bit before wedding day. We spent a Friday and Saturday afternoon in 2 great iconic Sacramento area locations, Old Sacramento and Folsom Lake. This is a particularly great time of year to do engagement sessions too because it is so gorgeous out and not 102F! And Kristina and Chris were great to work with! It was a little tricky when directing these two for smooching shots however. Try saying “Kristina, kiss Chris” a few times! Not always easy!

Nidia And Jesse Are Getting Married!

Nidia, Jesse and I finally got a chance to do their engagement session! Rain forced us to reschedule more than a few times but we finally got a drop-dead gorgeous day last weekend. We originally were going to do their engagement session in Berkeley, then at Capitol Garage in Sacramento (where these two met), but opted for some of Sacramento’s urban/industrial downtown backgrounds. It was loads of fun but I think these two were glad to be able to relax for this last shot….

Tiffany and Tony’s Raley Field Engagement Session

When Tony first saw Tiffany, it was at a River Cats game at Sacramento’s Raley Field. They both had season tickets but Tiffany’s seat (no. 12) was several rows in front of Tony’s so he had to check her out from afar or when she’d come up the aisle on her way to the snack bar. Then one day, Tony’s not-so-bashful seat mate, knowing Tony was sweet on Tiffany, managed to catch her attention and strike up a conversation as she was walking by. Obviously that was the best play of the day because now Tiffany and Tony are engaged and are getting married this Fall, when the River Cats are done playing for the season…

Tony and Tiffany wanted to do their engagement session at the spot where it all started, Raley Field. We also popped over to Old Sacramento in time to catch some great evening and sunset light. We couldn’t have asked for a better day, truly perfect.

A big thanks out to Analise and the rest of the folks at Raley Field for your hospitality!

Lisa and Brad-A New Year’s Day Wedding Celebration

What a better way to start out the new year than to get married! Brad and Lisa did just that in the Pavillion at the Lake Natoma Inn on January 1st of this year. And I have to say, this event had one of the more unique and lively receptions I have seen in awhile. Lisa and Brad both have kids from previous marriages so they are a newly formed family with a love for football; and this love of football showed up a few different ways throughout the day. One of the the more hilarious ways the football theme showed itself was when Brad put on his Steeler’s football helmet to retrieve the leg garter from a very  surprised Lisa. The garter then got put on to a football and hiked to a dance floor full of bachelors of varying ages.  This was the second big surprise Brad had for Lisa. Click here to see the first. The rest of the reception was lots of fun and it was obvious from the outpouring of love and joy from friends and family that this is a special new couple.
